the process
Typical upgrades such as soft close hardware and solid dovetail drawer boxes come standard with custom cabinetry at Fine Grain Studio. For each project, I personally hand-pick and sort materials to provide the most attractive grain pattern and color based on each client's preference.
Wood finishing is an incredibly vast and often confusing part of the process. This is why I educate and provide many different finishing options. Whether you prefer a durable, higher gloss film spray finish or a more natural-looking hand-rubbed oil/wax hybrid finish, we have you covered. Either way, I always choose water-based products for both your health and the health of the environment.
